Frequently Asked Questions
My kid and I don’t have working bikes. Can we still join?
Yes! Scooters, roller blades, skateboards or however you like to roll are 100% welcome.
If you have a bike that isn’t in riding shape, bring it to the Provo Bike Hub on Wednesdays, 6–8 PM. They’ll help you get rolling, free of charge.
No bike yet? Reach out via the contact form below and we’ll help you find a reliable & reliable bike to buy or borrow.
Do I need to ride the whole route?
Nope. Join at the start, at a listed stop, or anywhere along the route.
Are adults without kids welcome?
Yes! Helpers from the community make the ride safer and more fun.
How fast do you go?
Bike buses ride at a “party pace”: casual and steady, so even younger riders can keep up. They will also generally stop for the group as needed.
What about safety?
Bike buses follow Utah traffic laws, ride close together where needed, communicate turns/stops, and wear helmets.
What if the weather is bad or plans change?
This is up to bike bus organizers, but generally they’ll ride whenever they can, and we’ll spread the word about weather-related cancelations.
How can I start a bike bus at my school?
Check out our bike bus page. There are a few resources to get the wheels turning.
